Hello, I am Cheryl Pulitano. I lived in New York in the Hudson Valley all of my life until 6 years ago. When my husband of 31 years took an early retirement from IBM, we decided to move to Cape Coral to downsize our life and start a new adventure. Every day we discover new things that make us happy we moved here.

As a registered nurse for over 30 years, I have spent the majority of my career taking care of adults who have developed diseases that we have come to accept as a “ normal” part of aging.  The fact of the matter is, disease is NOT a normal part of aging!

We develop disease because,  number one, we don’t understand the importance of really good nutrition, and number two, because we are exposed to an alarming number of toxic chemicals on a daily basis. This is not chemical exposure from the work place. These are chemicals that are in products we use every day from our cleaning supplies, air fresheners, our sun blocks, our shampoos, lotions, makeup and yes, even the baby products we’ve been using for generations.

The most disturbing reality that I have come to see is the alarming rise in childhood diseases directly related to chemical exposure. They can no longer link the majority of these illnesses in children to genetics. A study by the EWG ( Environmental Working Group)  found that babies born today have been found to have on average of over 200 toxic chemicals in their umbilical cord blood on the day they are born. For nine months they are floating in a sea of toxins known to cause cancer, neurological problems, endocrine problems, reproductive problems and the list goes on.

It has become my passion to tell people about the “dirty little secrets” of the cleaning products we use in our homes everyday. It is important for people to understand that keeping the cleaning products safely out of reach of our children just isn’t enough anymore.

I have been trying to find “green cleaning products” for my own personal use for the past couple of years. After a lot of trial and error, a friend from NY suggested I try wowgreen products. Once I saw for myself how great they worked and what the mission of the company was, I was sold not only on the products, but on the business opportunity as well. What could be better than earning a living doing something that will help change the world in such a positive way. 

Everyone I talk to is trying to “Go Green”.  There are a lot of products on the market that claim to be “green” but unfortunately the truth is that most of them are just “marketed” to appear to be “green”.  We can not make good choices until we have all the facts. My focus is educating  people about the toxic chemicals we use on a daily basis.

When I am not out networking and doing my part to save the planet, I work part time as an RN at Health Park Medical Center.  I am a member of Powerful You! Women’s Network, SWFL Family Networking Group, and my husband and I love spending time with our 2 sons who are both currently living in Lee county. We started ballroom dancing about a year ago with Dancing on the Run. Nathalie our instructor makes it fun and easy .We’ve met several new friends and look forward to class week after week. I have also discovered there is nothing more relaxing than a day at the beach or reading anything uplifting or thought provoking.
