There is a new restaurant and coffee shop in town, serving breakfast and lunch with nothing on the menu over $6.00, plus specialty coffees, espresso-based coffee drinks, smoothies & other frozen blended treats!

Open Tuesday thru Friday from 9am-5pm and Saturday from 9am-3pm, people who walk in for the first time appreciate the quiet music in the background, the well-lit, spacious room with comfortable seating and a personal greeting. The shop serves free/fair-trade coffee products in eco-friendly containers, and prepares all salads and sandwiches fresh and made-to-order. 

You can order to eat in or to take out.  Of course the coffees and specialty drinks are big take out items, but you are also invited to relax and enjoy it there.  There is also a small library if you want to pick up something to stimulate your mind while you enjoy all the wonderful stuff they serve up!

Cuppa Life also offers free WiFi to customers, and hosts bi-monthly Open Mic Nights (1st and 3rd Saturdays, 6-10 PM) for all clean,  family-friendly musicians, poets, comics, and other entertainers.  Cuppa Life also has sufficient space for small groups, Bible study groups, business luncheons, book clubs, safe space for blind dates, and small act concerts or poetry readings.

Cuppa Life is a ministry of A Life In Christ, formerly Christ the Servant Church of the Brethren, so it is important the business practices are ethical, that spending is efficient, that the quality of service and product is high, and that the customers are treated with dignity. This whole idea started when members of the church visited Living Word Christian Store in Sarasota on the way home from a road trip and realized that Cape Coral needed a good coffee house with a uniquely peaceful, Spirit-filled atmosphere and business practices that model the convictions the church holds about peace and justice. Cuppa Life opened  in March of 2010.

Lynn, the manager, is a wife and mother of 3. She and her husband have been attending the church since they were a dating couple. She has run her own home-based cleaning business for many years, serving happy clients all over Lee County. She is from the Appleton-Green Bay area of Wisconsin, and more than likely will be the person serving you for food or beverages.  

Leah, the pastor of the church, has worked for Living Word (the largest independently owned Christian store in SW FL) and Keyboards & More music store. She is a singer, songwriter and recording artist who has lived in SW Florida since 40 hours before Charley made landfall. She was born in Johnstown, PA and grew up between Indiana, PA and Ashland, OH. She also assists when things get hectic.

A Life In Christ has an active youth group called Y-LIFE for Jr/Sr High students.  If you know any kids that want to become a part of this youth group, just stop in and let Leah or Lynn know.  There is always room for more kids being involved in doing good stuff! There is also a Healing Prayer Afghan ministry where yarn-crafters knit or crochet afghan squares that are pieced together into blankets, prayed over and given away freely to the sick or grieving.

A Life In Christ is also known in the community for hosting the annual Easter Sunrise public worship service at the Yacht Club Beach since the early days with the founder, Pastor Don Shank. Cuppa Life/A Life In Christ is affiliated with the Cape Chamber, the Christian Chamber, CityBizDirectory, the SWFL Christian Musician Network, PraiseFest, and the Atlantic Southeast District of the Church of the Brethren.
