Udo Upeslacis has been involved with art and computers since he worked as a silk screener while in high school. After a stint in the Air Force he became a main frame programmer for a Fortune 500 company where he handled the operating system – the operation of the computer itself, not the application running on it – something that absolutely must be done right. He has carried that sense of doing it right the first time every time into the operation of his Signs Now franchise in Ft. Myers.

Today, Signs Now is one of only 7 shops in Florida and the only one south of Tampa and west of Miami authorized to call itself a PDAA (Professional Decal Application Association) Master Certified Installer – a credential to look for when ever you want a vehicle wrapped right. Twelve shops were in attendance when Udo’s son and business partner Alan took the 2-Day written and physical application test in 2004, and only Alan passed, becoming the first in Florida.

Signs Now was established here in 1993 with the idea they would never be just a run of the mill shop. They are quick to state that “you can always find someone who is cheaper and, conversely, someone who’s more expensive, but you will never find anyone as good. And we have the certification to prove it.”
